Come for the view, stay for a long Italian lunch or dinner. Il Giardino sits right in the heart of Montecatini Alto, with a panoramic terrace overlooking the Tuscan landscape below.
Why I recommend it
The combination of the location, the view and the relaxed atmosphere makes this such an easy place to recommend. It is especially nice after wandering through Montecatini Alto, when all you really want is a good meal, a glass of wine and somewhere to sit for a while. The terrace is the real highlight here. On a clear day, the view over the valley makes the whole meal feel just a little more special.
What to do
The menu is broad, so this is one of those places where I would simply order whatever sounds good in the moment. If you want to keep it typically Tuscan, look towards the local meat, pasta or antipasti. Their aperitivo boards are also a good option if you mainly want a drink and something to share.
Good to know
Do not judge a book, or in this case a menu, by its cover. Seriously. They have clearly discovered AI image generation, which has resulted in a menu full of very questionable AI food photos. Ignore them completely. Read the descriptions, choose whatever sounds good and trust the actual kitchen rather than the pictures.
